Welcome to the British Drilling Association

The British Drilling Association (BDA) is the UK's trade association for the ground drilling industry.

We are a membership organisation for those who drill holes in the ground, manufacture / supply drilling rigs & equipment, or have a general or real interest in ground drilling. Whether it's mineral exploration, water-well activities, ground investigation, geotechnical processes, quarry drilling, geothermal & ground source heat drilling, directional drilling or other applications, our members cover it all. We do not however include drilling for oil and gas.

Our mission statement sums up what we're about:

Committed to Excellence in Health & Safety,
Quality of Workmanship and Technical Standards
for the Benefit of the Drilling Industry and its Clients
