Following the British Drilling Association's (BDA) 41st AGM, the BDA it is pleased to announce that in addition to Martyn Brocklesby taking up the position as Chair from the outgoing Anne Baxter, a number of other appointments and changes have been made.
Specifically, Richard Fielden, Director WJ Groundwater Ltd has been appointed as Vice Chair of the BDA], and I am sure he will be a great asset to the Association!
The BDA would also like to welcome a number of new Sub Committee members:
T&E Committee: Simon Jackson, Gareth Mews, Tom Walton
Safety Committee: Ben Donnachie, Simon Jackson, Ian Gray, Keith Pucket, Bryan Laycock, Robert Douglas and John Rodgman
Marketing Committee: Debbie Darling, Simon Baxter
Technical & Standards: Mark Toye (Chair), Calum Whitelaw, Chris White, John Ireland, Ben Swallow, Gordon Ross, James Elson
David Nevey, James Huntingdon, and Duncan Campbell all from the safety committee together with Chris White of the Marketing Committee, are all standing down - thank you for your service.
Jim Raeburn has also stepped down after 20 years of involvement. An ex-Chairman of the BDA, Jim was on management committee, on most of subcommittees, instrumental in developing NVQ level 2 in land drilling and a director. Jim has been awarded a lifetime honorary membership of the BDA and we would like to thank him for all his efforts over the years.
And finally, out-going Chair, Anne Baxter has been appointed a Director of BDA and will continue her hard efforts to support and promote the drilling sector from this position.
