BDA - Awards Dinner 2019 - Winners Announced

A big thank you to those who attended the BDA's Annual Awards, which were held 9th November 2019, at the Bristol Marriott Roya Hotel in Bristol. The evening was tremendous fun and a great opportunity to recognize success in our own industry. The winners from the evening were:
The event raised £3,800 for the BDA's chosen charity - The Jessie May Children's Charity & Ovarian Cancer. Thank you to all who contributed and a big thank you to our sponsors for making this even possible!
- Industry Excellence Award - Atkins (with WSP and Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical Ltd) for its 'AMJV A9 Site Team and Data Collection Tool' - and WJ UK, for its work on the 'Pumping Test COmplex' at Thames Tideway Tunnel. The judges also commended the submission from Strata Geotechnics - for its 'VE MOG Road Rail Vehicle (RRV) Drilling System'
- Safety Improvement / Initiviatei Award - SOCOTEC - for its work 'Work Front Saftey Board'
- Lead Driller / Drilling Supervisor of the Year Award - Hugh Ferry - from BAM Ritchies
- Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to both David Airey - of concept Engineering consultants and David Allan - formerly of Raburn Drilling - for their outstanding contribution to the British Drilling Industry
