BDA Annual Awards 2022 – Shortlist Announced!

The British Drilling Association (BDA) is pleased to announce that the shortlist for its 2022 Annual Awards has been released.

The BDA Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals and companies within the drilling industry, and to be shortlisted alone is a great achievement.

The standard and quantity of entries was incredibly high, and it was a difficult task to select the overall winners!

The finalists of the BDA Awards 2022 are:

Apprentice of the Year Award

The winner was selected by all participants and the training team of the BDA Apprenticeship Scheme and will be announced on the evening.

Lead Driller of the Year Award

• Andrew Mossman (MacGeo)
• Brian Gee (Marriott Geotechnical)
• Craig Blackett (Soil Engineering)
• Ryan Beal (BAM Ritchies)

Industry Excellence Award

• Equipe Group, for its “Rhino Corebox”
• Ischebeck Titan, for its “Refresco Project”
• MacGeo, for its “Egypt Project”
• WJ UK, for its “Electric Drilling Rig”

Safety Initiative Award

• Concept Engineering Consultants, for its “E-Site App”
• Raeburn Drilling & Geotechnical, for its “Mental Health awareness”
• SOCOTEC, for its “Why Wouldn’t You? Safety videos”
• Soil Engineering, for its “Overhoist Devices”

Lifetime Achievement Award

The winner of this award will be announced on the night.

Congratulations to all finalists and thank you to all who entered and to those who judged the entries.

The winners in each category will be announced 12 November 2022, at the at The Hilton Newcastle Gateshead. Good luck to all those shortlisted!
