BDA Awards 2020 – Charity Announced

August 7, 2020

With the current COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing guidance impacting the extent to which events can be run, the British Drilling Association (BDA) will be holding this year’s Awards virtually.

The award categories remain the same and a call for submissions will be issued shortly.

As with previous years, the Awards will be accompanied with the usual charity collection, with funds donated in support of the charity ‘Hospice UK’ (www.hospiceuk.org). Hospice UK is the national charity for hospice care, supporting adults and children’s hospices across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The BDA has requested that any updates that the BDA receive regarding the donations made by BDA members are focused on the fantastic work of the children hospices that they support.

Donations can be made via the BDA bank account using reference “Charity” (for those who do not have BDA bank account details please contact the BDA Freephone number – 0800 246 5086.

The charity aspect of the event is extremely important part of the BDA Awards and to-date the BDA via the generosity of its members, has donated over £85,000. Although the awards dinner itself will not take place this year, your support for the charity is still valued. Collection will conclude on 10 December and the total contributed will be announced via BDA communications channels.

More details about the Awards will be made available in due course.
