BDA Elections 2026 – Nomination Process

February 19, 2026

The British Drilling Association (BDA) announces that the nomination process for representatives to serve on the BDA Management Committee for 2026 will open on Monday 23rd February.

The Management Committee plays a vital role in guiding the strategic direction of the Association and ensuring that the interests of the membership and the wider drilling industry are properly represented. Committee members contribute to policy development, industry initiatives and the continued raising of standards across the sector.

  – Nominations open: Monday 23rd February
  – Nominations close: Monday 9th March at 12 noon

Eligible member companies will receive a formal request for nominations on the opening date. Members are invited to put forward a representative in line with the Association’s election requirements. Full nomination criteria and role expectations will be outlined within the request.

Ballot Stage (if required)

If the number of nominations received exceeds the available positions, a ballot of the membership will be held. The timetable for the ballot stage will be as follows:

  • Candidate copy received and verified by: Friday 13th March 2026
  • Ballot opens: Monday 23rd March 2026
  • Reminder email issued: Monday 30th March 2026
  • Ballot closes: Monday 6th April 2026

Further details will be communicated if a ballot is necessary. As in previous years, the BDA has appointed CIVICA Election Services to oversee the digital process to ensure transparency and full member participation.

The BDA encourages broad representation across the membership and looks forward to receiving nominations from across the drilling community.
