The British Drilling Association (BDA) is creating a number of educational videos, to support best practice and promote ever higher levels of safety, standards and professionalism in the drilling industry.
These videos demonstrate what “good” looks like, by focusing on individual tasks and what is required to perform them safely and in line with the relevant standards. The BDA has created these videos for use by not only its members but also for the benefit of the wider drilling industry.
The first of these videos is available now and is titled ‘Standard Penetration Test (SPT)’, and describes the test as detailed in BS EN ISO 22476-1:2023. It shows the processes and records required to ensure that the SPT is performed in line with the standard and is extremely informative.
The BDA will be publishing more videos over the coming months, which will offer a complete audio visual guide to the many topics relevant to the drilling sector, improving best practice and more importantly safety.
