BDA ‘Virtual’ AGM – Postponed

April 24, 2020

With many British Drilling Association (BDA) registered companies and sponsored members on furlough it is clear that a significant number may not have received voting forms for the management committee and will also be unable to attend a virtual AGM.

In addition, many members of the management committee and sub committees have also increased responsibilities as like all of usĀ  they are trying to lead and manage their own businesses through these difficult times and have therefore been unable to prepare for the AGM.

Mindful of the circumstance we are all working through, the decision has been taken to postpone the AGM until further notice and until the present ‘lockdown’ guidelines are revised.

Richard Fielden will take over as Chair from present Chair Martyn Brocklesby, as this does not require a motion at the AGM , but the election for places on the Management Committee will be paused until it can be confirmed that all eligible members have received their voting forms. Until the next AGM and elections, it would seem sensible that the present make-up of the committees remains as they are currently.

Details of the AGM will be posted when the BDA is able to do so, but in the meantime the BDA hopes all its members stay safe and in good health.
