Following the recent British Drilling Association (BDA) Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held on-line 28th April 2021, a number of personnel changes were recorded, and this article will briefly explain who’s who.
Still at the helm, as Chair of the BDA, is Richard Fielden, with the support of former Chair and BDA Director, Anne Baxter. John Grainger, Director, and the current General Manager of the BDA, additionally heads up the Finance & Strategy sub-committee, John takes over this role from Philip Ball, who has stepped down from the position, and the BDA would like to take this opportunity to thank Philip for his commitment and hard work over the years in his capacity as Chair of the Finance & Strategy sub-committee.
Staying with sub-committees, Mark Toye continues to lead Technical & Standards committee, the Training and Education committee continues to be headed by Paul McMann, and Jon Christie remains the Chair of the Health & Safety committee. Natalie Bews takes over as Chair of the Marketing committee, we wish Natalie the best of luck in her new role.
Over the coming months, the BDA will publish a short profile on each sub-committee Chair, with a view to outlining some of the areas they will be focusing on during their tenure.
