Three New Members Welcomed to the British Drilling Association

March 5, 2026

The British Drilling Association (BDA) is pleased to welcome the following new members into the Association: Black Mountain Developments, SoTech Studio and Robertson Geo Services. Each brings a unique focus and technical insight to the BDA, strengthening the Association’s representation across the drilling, geotechnical and geoenvironmental sectors.

Membership of the BDA continues to grow, and the addition of these three organisations enhances the Association’s ability to represent the drilling and ground investigation sector. Their combined experience and perspectives widen the BDA’s knowledge base and support its ongoing commitment to raising standards of safety, professionalism and quality across the industry.

Commenting on the new additions, BDA Chair, Mark Toye, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Black Mountain Developments, SoTech Studio and Robertson Geo Services to the BDA. Their decision to join reflects a shared commitment to raising standards across the drilling and ground investigation sector. As the industry continues to develop, the breadth of knowledge and experience these organisations bring will contribute positively to the aims of the Association.”

BDA membership continues to offer access to an influential network of drilling professionals, ongoing technical updates, industry-wide guidance, and the opportunity to shape standards and best practice. As the voice of the drilling sector, the BDA provides a platform for contractors, consultants, clients and suppliers to collaborate, raise standards and drive forward industry progress.

BDA membership is open to a wide range of businesses, including contractors with NVQ Land Drilling, Level 2 certified operatives, non-contracting suppliers, consultants, and clients.
