The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) has issued updated Site Operating Procedures (version 6) for the Construction Sector, which specifically looks at “Protecting Your Workforce During Coronavirus (Covid-19)”.
Version 6 of the guidance, published October 2020, whilst not including any new or fundamental changes that would impact the way British Drilling Association (BDA) members work presently, it does serve to reinforce existing guidance and a reminder that construction is essentially open for business.
Of course, national guidance on social distancing in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland should be also be adhered to as there are regional variations on what is permitted, and information is available through regional government online channels.
It also goes without saying, members should keep following advice ‘wash hands-Space-face’, but it is also worth remembering that as the usual cold winter weather approaches, that extra consideration may be necessary depending on site conditions and other practicalities.
