The British Drilling Association (BDA) has updated its online training course, Wireline Safety for Drillers, available through the BDA Training Portal.
Wireline operations bring specific safety considerations around moving and tensioned wireline, equipment and the working area. The course provides a convenient way for drilling personnel to reinforce safe working principles for wireline operations.
Designed for drillers involved in wireline work, it supports hazard awareness, good practice and safer working around wireline systems and equipment.

The BDA will continue to add training opportunities to the portal, helping members and the wider drilling sector access relevant learning online, wherever and whenever it is needed.
